Have you ever gone to buy a new stove, gotten it home, and suddenly realized that the stove is 1/16-inch too big? It’s tantalizingly close to being the right size, but you just know that if you try to force it, you will wind up damaging either the stove, the countertop, or both. Even the most spacious counter can become cluttered if you have a lot of gadgets. You have to find a place for the coffee maker, bread machine, electric can opener, microwave oven, air fryer, and toaster. You could have an appliance garage built into the kitchen. A wider counter is also a possibility, or you could do both.
In addition to needing enough space for your gadgets, you’re also going to need space for flatware, baking items, dishes, pots and pans, and other items that you need in your kitchen. Be sure to plan for slightly more space than you need, which will not only allow you to get more items but will also keep you from having to cram things together.
You have to leave enough space for people to move around. For example, there’s no reason to have a breakfast nook that won’t accommodate anyone bigger than a 6-year-old. Additionally, the kitchen has to be the right size for you. You don’t want cabinets so high that you need a ladder. It’s also poor design to have things so low that you have to stoop. Having the layout “go with the flow” of work just makes good sense, too. “Fridge to sink” is a good method so that you can move along the countertop as you complete tasks rather than moving back and forth.
You don’t just have to leave room for people navigating within the kitchen. There also has to be space to open drawers and appliance doors without causing unnecessary traffic snarls. In addition, you don’t want to have to reach into the back of a drawer from an awkward angle because you can’t open a drawer all the way.

The team I had to do the work were father and son Vladimr and Miroslav. They were very professional, polite and dedicated to the work they were doing for me. You could tell they took pride in their work. They also cleaned up after themselves and everything was spotless. I wish all contractors were like them. Cooperleaf just finished our cabinet reface today & its beautiful...just what we wanted! Cooperleaf did much more than just reface our cabinets. Cooperleaf did much more than just reface our cabinets. They took off the old molding on the cabinets & replaced it with molding that matched our crown molding. They also took out a cabinet above the frig which had 2 small areas & replaced it with 1 large cabinet. Lastly they took out our old cooktop hood & replaced with one that matched out cabinets. Excellent!
I can't say enough about these guys. Their price was the best and they said it would be ONE week from start to finish. The other side got new doors only. The granite was done in one day. Every day they clean up before they go. It's hard enough to have your kitchen torn apart without extra mess. The men were so hard working and efficient . Today is Friday and they are finishing up as promised. I'll add a picture when the appliances arrive. It is just beautiful

I called **** to see if he might be able to send me some similar veneer to cover the areas and he made it happen!!!!Wonderful followup and great craftsmen

The improvements they suggested and then made have made my entire home work better and more efficiently. I love the deep drawers and slide out shelves. They found a way to make two pantries in areas where none had existed before. They also gave excellent design advice for coordinating cabinets, counter tops, tile and interior paint. The crew was always punctual, courteous and neat. If they promised to be done in a week, they are done in a week. Many of my friends and neighbors have used this company and have been very happy with the results. The original estimate was right on the mark. They were also very accommodating to last minute changes I made. The craftsmanship is outstanding. I would highly recommend this company and will use them again for other projects.
